Sonny and Joe began their business in 1918 as a stand in the Lee Avenue Market in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Word spread quickly and soon people from all over the borough were clamoring for Sonny and Joe’s crunchy barrel cured pickles and authentic salads. Some things have changed since the good old days, but our commitment to upholding a tradition of hand crafted excellence hasn’t.

Galic Addiction and Pinoli are the bomb!!!! can’t get enough!!! Great job, guys.
Galilee, my favorite!
Please ship more verities to Nebraska! I’m stuck with Galilee, and Hot Enough Hummus? for now. Not that it is a bad thing, but want to try more!
Any chance of your products making it to Montreal, Canada? If not, how about Pricechoppers in Plattsburgh New York or Burlington VT?
Love your hummus…..DM
Hi David,
I will look into this for you. I was just in Keene NY right outside of Saranac Lake and randomly saw our hummus in a store. So it does look like we are making it up your way. I update the wordpress site regularly so check back!

I’ve had just the Garlic Addiction so far, but I must say it’s the bomb. Creamy deliciousness with the right about of garlic.
I want to know if the Babaganoush can be frozen as the store will order a case for me but we can’t eat it that fast. I would like to vacuum seal the packages and keep them in the freezer. Please let me know.
Thank you in advance for your information.
Hi Rhoda,
Freezing the babaganoush is not recommended. After it thaws it brings out all of the moisture and becomes very watery. It’s just one of those things that are meant to eat fresh. Hope this helps! -elissa
Love your Hummus! And love the fact that you are native Brooklynites! Please get your stuff into more stores in BK, especially in Park Slope (where I live!) I bet your products would do terrific at the PS Food Co-Op. And Whole Foods (they like local products). Best of luck!
Are any of your hummus products gluten-free ?
I love your Hummus Galilee! I discovered it at Target in Connecticut where I travel for business. I live in Manhattan and need to find a place that carries your great products. The Food Emporium in my neighborhood didn’t have it when I last checked. Keep up the great work!
